JOYI LIFE evolved from a small family textile workshop into a global home textile brand, driven by a simple dream: bringing comfort and warmth into every home.
Leo’s parents founded a small textile factory named Pengfei, after his Chinese name. The factory specialized in producing polyester yarn and marked the family’s first step into the textile industry.
During this time, Leo was sent to boarding school as his parents were fully devoted to the business.
Leo went to the UK to study Finance and Business Management. Missing his hometown and parents, he often visited home textile stores for comfort. The warmth of these fabrics eased his homesickness and planted the seed for creating JOYI LIFE.
Though Leo studied Finance and Business Management in the UK, the comfort he found in home textiles taught him that true value begins with the product itself.
Choosing not to continue with postgraduate studies, he returned home, devoted himself to every stage of textile making, and brought the first concept of branding into the family business.
Leo founded his own trading company, Zhuoyi, officially stepping into the global market. He began exporting finished fabrics abroad, processed from the family’s textile production, marking the start of his foreign trade journey.
As Zhuoyi’s business expanded, demand for polyester bedding fabrics grew. This led to the establishment of a new home textile factory, creating a full supply chain from yarn to fabric to finished home textiles.
Pengfei Textile was rebranded as Perfectextile, beginning its OEM journey. Around this time, Leo’s long-term plan for creating the JOYI LIFE brand started to take shape.
Leo assembled a new global team, hiring talented designers and fabric development specialists from around the world to lay a strong foundation for the JOYI LIFE brand.
In September 2025, after years of preparation, Leo officially launched JOYI LIFE online. The moment he held his son’s hand and watched him walk through the school gates, memories of his own childhood and student days came flooding back.
That feeling of continuity, of family and warmth, inspired him to finally bring his long-held dream to life—transforming JOYI LIFE into a brand that carries both heritage and heart.
